M. Glenn Curran, III
EDUCATION Mr. Curran received his undergraduate education at Duke University (Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, 1982) and completed his legal education at Mercer Law School (Juris Doctor Degree, 1985) where he was a member of the Mercer Law Review (Articles Editor 1984-85, Member 1983-84).
ASSOCIATIONS Mr. Curran was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1985 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1986. In the federal system, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Broward County Bar Association, and the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, as well as various other committees and associations related to his practice areas. He is also the co-author of "Extension of Collateral Estoppel to Evidence from a Prior Acquitted Crime" 35 Mercer Law Review 1419 (1984).
EXPERIENCE Mr. Curran is a trial attorney with more than twenty years of experience in many facets of commercial, corporate, banking, insurance, probate, healthcare, intellectual property, and personal injury litigation. He focuses primarily, however, in the area of corporate law with an emphasis on litigation. (For specific experience, see our Firm Profile.) Mr. Curran has represented business entities from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 corporations. Mr. Curran has been awarded by his peers an "AV-rating" by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers as well as being listed in Who's Who in Executives and Professionals. In addition to litigating in state and federal courts, Mr. Curran has been qualified and testified as a litigation expert on attorneys' fees and costs on several occasions in both state and federal courts. Mr. Curran is also trained as and certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Mediator (since 2001) and is qualified by the Florida Supreme Court as an Arbitrator. PERSONAL Mr. Curran was born in Coral Gables, Florida, in 1960, to Marshall and Linda Curran. Approximately one year later, they moved to Fort Lauderdale where he and his two sisters were raised and educated through high school. After college and law school, Mr. Curran returned to Fort Lauderdale to pursue his career and in 1989, he married Sandy Higerd. Their daughter Kelsey was born in 1990 and their son Kyle in 1992. Mr. Curran is an ordained Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church of America, an avid outdoorsman, and an admitted technophile.
